The Conference of European Churches (CEC) will hold two sessions on Ukraine at its 2023 General Assembly that will be held from14 – 20 June in Tallinn, Estonia, exploring the theme “Under God’s blessing – shaping the future”.
The sessions will be livestreamed and the link will be shared soon.
The first session "Hearing: Churches as change-makers in post-war society" will be held on 17 June, 16.00 - 17.30 (EET).
The panellists will be:
- Archbishop Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva, Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine
- Bishop Sándor Zán Fábián, Trans-Carpathian Reformed Church in Ukraine
- Bishop Pavlo Schwarz, German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ukraine
- Professor Vlodymyr Bureha, Vice-rector of the Orthodox Theological Academy in Kyiv, Ukrainian Orthodox Church
- Rev. Dr Grzegorz Giemza, Ecumenical Council of Churches in Poland
The session will be moderated by Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani, Bishop of Chelmsford, Church of England, Vice-President of CEC.
The second session "Hearing: Preparing for Peace: The role of churches in transforming violence" will be held on 18 June, 16.00 - 17.30 (EET).
The panellists will be:
